England May Be Quietly Confident, But They Shouldn’t

England May Be Quietly Confident, But They Shouldn’t. After Tim Murtagh was bowled by Chris Woakes to conclude a lacklustre final effort   by the Irish on Friday morning, Nasser Hussain and Michael Atherton sat in the Sky commentary box with David Gower predicting England would win the Ashes because the skill of the English bowlers in English conditions is far superior to the skill of Australian bowlers in English conditions. I would agree with them both more times than not, but comparing the two squads, I have to disagree. First, let’s look at the batting for both sides. 23 November - Ascot Races roundup Here's how we did. 13:00 - we tipped Wenyerreadyfreddie and Moon Racer. The former won, and the latter narrowly missed out on a place (coming 4th). 13:30 - Breaking Waves, Igor and Moonlighter were our three calls for this race - Breaking Waves pulled out of the race (so we aren't counting him in the lineup); Moonlighter won and Igor finished a close 2nd place! 14:05 - Thomas Darby and Didtheyleaveuoutto were our tips - Didthey. won the race, and Darby came in a close 2nd. 14:40 - Royal Village and Cassee Tete were our tips - Cassee didn't place, but Royal Village came 3rd and placed. 15:15 - Minella Daddy was our tip - bizarrely, it finished last in the race (despite being the overwhelming favourite). 15:50 - Distingo and Flying Tiger were our calls for this race - Tiger was brought down in the race (so we aren't counting this tip), and Distingo finished 3rd. _ A pretty good day overall. Discounting fal...
