Catterick Round-up - Tue 30 Oct

We had what looks like a pretty decent day at Catterick as far as tips go. Here is the round-up.

12:25 - we called Wedding Date and Leodis Dream; we nailed the tips on this, Leodis won and Wedding came 2nd

12:55 - Carlton Thomas and Pearl Noir were our two calls - neither placed, Pearl Noir ran well for parts of the race but was never really in the shake-up

13:25 - we called Illustrissime, who finished 2nd

14:00 - we called Rebel Assault, who finished 2nd

14:30 - we called Richard Strauss (who had brilliant odds if you were betting on him @ 10/1) and Flower Power - Richard Strauss won his race (!!) and Flower Power placed (4th) - good set of tips

15:05 - our update post called for Russian Realm, who ran well but narrowly missed out on a place (he came 4th, placing was 1st-3rd)

15:35 - our update post called Coiste Bodhar (who, again, had great odds at 8/1), but unfortunately didn't place/win

16:10 - we went with Clergyman for this race, and despite a promising start, he didn't place/win. Bee Machine, who we thought wouldn't fare too well, managed to win

We had 6 hits out of 11 tips, giving us a 54% hit rate (keeping us above our 50% aim). A couple of close calls, and a few outsiders did well on the day, but there was an opportunity to win some big bucks today (as a few people we know did).

Next stop is for the Wolverhampton race on Thursday (1 Nov) - keep your eyes peeled for that.
